Abram Games (1914-1996) Your Britain Fight For It Now, Now Clean airy and well planned dwellings make a great contribution to the rehousing movement, original poster PR2 printed for the Army Bureau of Current Affairs by Multi Machine Plates 1942 - 75 x 50 cm.
Along with two other similar posters by Games this poster design was criticised by the War Office and withdrawn after initial distribution to the Army and display at the Harrod's poster exhibition . This is a rare poster and is the only copy we have offered for sale. Provenance: Onslows War Posters September 14 1989 lot 239 From the Studio of Frank Newbould. Newbould joined the War Office as Games's assistant in 1942, the Your Britain Series was issued later that year by the Army Bureau of Current Affairs whose function was to interest servicemen in Political and social questions.
